Senior Finance Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our Business Support team. This is primarily a stand alone role, reporting to the Commercial Director, and with support from the wider ustwo group’s Finance Team.

We are looking for someone who is a team player, who has great attention to detail and strong communication skills.

#Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of sales and purchase ledgers
• Month end/year end closing procedure
• Preparing monthly PAYE / NICS payments and payroll journals
• Preparation all relevant monthly/yearly journal including prepayment & accruals
• Maintaining fixed assets register, reconciling register total with ledger figures, processing month end depreciation
• Preparation of monthly ustwo games board meeting pack
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy of the accounts
• Coordinating with our external auditor for preparation of statutory accounts, R&D Tax Relief, and Video Game Tax Relief
• Coordination with the Group finance function to align financial activities with group requirements across: P&L Forecasting, Cash Flow Forecasting, Annual Budgeting, Group Audit and Treasury
• Financial modelling
• Ad-hoc reports and analysis

#Essential Requirements

• Full/part qualified (CIMA, ACCA or other equivalent)
• Ability to carry out routine financial tasks with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
• Being a team player whilst demonstrating the capability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail with reconciliation skills and ability to problem solve
• Being adaptable and proactive with a “Can Do” approach
• High level of capability in Excel/Google Sheets

#Desirable Requirements

• Experience working in the games industry, or in other creative industries such as Film/Music/Publishing
• Knowledge of R&D claims and VGTR (Video Games Tax Relief)
• Previous experience in a wide ranging, stand alone role
• Experience working in Xero
• Critical thinking about modelling sales revenue
• Previous experience in a Senior role, but open to a strong Finance Officer who is looking to step up into Senior
